Ted & Maxine Albers Scholarship

Ted & Maxine Albers Scholarship

The Scholarship has been made possible by Ted & Maxine Albers. Ted was president of Mesa College from 1970 to 1974. He is credited with supplying the leadership that was essential to converting Mesa College from a two-year college to a four-year college. Maxine was very involved in the community. She served 15 year in Mesa County as on of Colorado’s first female County Commissioners. They participated in many community organizations such as Lions Club, Mesa Developmental Services, Grand Junction Musical Arts Association, United Way, Western Colorado Center for the Arts, Salvation Army, and many others. They both wanted this scholarship to support a student who is seeking a degree in Engineering or Teaching.
