Paul Pletka Scholarship

Paul Pletka Scholarship

The Scholarship was established by Paul Pletka to help art students purchase quality materials to improve their work and the grades they receive on their work. Artist Paul Pletka studied at Mesa College from 1965 – 1967. Born in San Diego and raised in the Grand Valiey, Pletka began showing his work in the late 60’s when he started to cultivate his distinct approach. His work explores the complex religions and history of the West as indigenous cultures came into contact with outside influences. Pletka’s paintings reside in numerous museums and private collections throughout the country. It is his detailed research and technique that enables Paul Pletka to capture a unique vision of the spirit of the West.
