Patti Milius Culinary Scholarship
This Patti Milius Culinary Scholarship was established in memory of Patricia (Patti) Milius.
January 12, 1941- December 29, 2019
If you knew Patti Milius, she was the best loyal friend ever, the greatest gift of a lifetime. She always came to your aid before you knew you needed it, asking, “What can I do? Do you need dinner?” She called, sent cards of encouragement, sat by your side and delivered dinner anyway.
Patti was a fabulous cook. She taught culinary classes. She was instrumental in coordinating and editing the “West of the Rockies” cookbook published by the Junior Service League.
Patti was one of the founding members of Junior Service League of Grand Junction (JSLGJ). She wanted to have a stronger community and developed the motto “Strong Women” Stronger Community". This motto still holds true today and is honored by the current members of JSL. Patti was always thinking of others and working for the greater good.
