Micah David Dancy, 26, passed away in Grand Junction, CO, on September 21, 2017. He was born to David and Deese Dancy on June 13, 1991, in Grand Junction.
Micah spent his childhood in Mesa, CO, and graduated from Independence Academy in Grand Junction. He was a senior, majoring in Music and minoring in Business at Colorado Mesa University. He was a life-long member of Church of the Nativity in Grand Junction, and he performed in a music group at Monument Presbyterian.
Micah loved his family and his current three ""kitties"", as well as all his childhood cats. He enjoyed his walks to CMU, as well as all his neighborhood in Grand Junction (he disliked driving). He was an avid reader of many genres. He and his mom enjoyed having tea together almost every day. He loved fishing and hiking with his brothers, Joshua and Zachary, and playing ping pong with his Dad. He was always listening to music with everyone. He spent hours playing and composing original music with his longtime childhood friend, Robin Maxwell. Micah was an accomplished classical guitarist, as well as pianist, playing with the CMU ensemble and the Monument Presbyterian Church music performance group.
He is survived by his parents, David and Deese; and his brothers, Joshua and Zachary, all of Grand Junction. He is also survived by many close friends from the CMU Music Department. They were a huge part of Micah’s life. He was especially grateful for his guitar instructor, Eric Nohe, who was a friend as well as teacher.
