Marion Fletcher Scholarship

The Marion Fletcher Scholarship was first established by Marion Fletcher. She was born in Grand Junction and stayed her for 97 years. She was a significant supporter of local community projects. She was very generous in giving to Mesa College programs, particularly in the field of drama, Mesa College Foundation, and to the Wayne and Julia Aspinall Foundation. Marion was associated with the Daily Sentinel in Grand Junction more than 57 years, serving as secretary to publishers of the paper, including Walter Walker, Preston Walker, Ken Johnson and James Kennedy. Her scholarship supports students in the filed of speech and theater.
