Dr. Kit Neacy Scholarship Fund

Dr. Kit Neacy, a periodontist in Los Angeles who died in 2020, was a big believer in education, particularly for students with the drive to succeed. A proud graduate of the University of Southern California, her connection to western Colorado was through her cousin, Ellen Miller, and Ellen’s husband, Jeff Wendland, both longtime volunteers with Mesa County Partners. For many years, Kit would come for rafting with the Partners program, serving as mentor/role model to the youngsters. Ellen and Jeff established the Dr. Kit Neacy scholarship fund in her honor to assist at-risk youth complete their education for a better life.
