Douglas E. Aden and Lorraine L. Jensen Endowed Scholarship
Lorraine L. Jensen taught fifth grade in Billings, Montana for 17 years and served as the president of the Billings Education Association for three years. For many years she worked at her church as well as at a child advocacy center in Grand Junction, Colorado, which provided services to child victims of sexual abuse and their families. Douglas E. Aden had a successful career for 34 years with U.S. Bancorp and its predecessor entity, First Bank System, Inc., working in Billings as well as Denver and Grand Junction, Colorado. They were lifelong active members of the Lutheran church and, in retirement, volunteered with nonprofit organizations that provided shelter and housing for low income and homeless people. They were both first generation college students who came from families with limited financial resources. They established this endowment to allow students to have the same opportunities that they gained from a quality education.
