City of Montrose

Founded in 1882, the City of Montrose is one of Colorado’s most vibrant, engaging and thriving communities. In recent years, the Montrose City Council and the City’s executive leadership team have developed lasting partnerships across the community to enhance the safety and quality of life for City residents. Recognizing the direct connection between higher education, workforce development and economic development, the City of Montrose has invested both in capital projects and in annual scholarships for Montrose residents at the CMUM campus. These investments have paved the way for continued campus growth and better connectivity between the City’s downtown municipal campus and downtown merchants.
