Blaney-Maluy Family Scholarship

The Blaney-Maluy Family Scholarship has been established by Brook Blaney, Brett Blaney, Lee Ann Blaney and Bud Blaney to salute and promote the spirit of entrepreneurship in Mesa County. The donors are Mesa County natives, CMU alumni, and entrepreneurs. Their grandparents, from both the Blaney and Maluy sides, were homesteaders in Mesa County. Darrell Maluy, their mother’s brother, held the record discus toss for decades between when Mesa was a junior college until it became a university. They wish to provide financial support and help minimize debt for middle-class students from Mesa County who show a strong interest in entrepreneurship.
