Aspinall Foundation Scholarship
The Wayne N. and Julia E. Aspinall Foundation, Inc. was formed in 1968 to honor the late Congressman by supporting the fine traditions of public service and education to which he was dedicated. The Aspinall Foundation carries out this mission by providing meaningful educational opportunities to students and the general public at Colorado Mesa University.
The Aspinall Foundation has been funded entirely by voluntary contributions, primarily from citizens in the Grand Junction area. Members of the Board of Directors and Officers serve without compensation, ensuring that donations go directly toward educational programs and scholarships. As contributions grow, the Foundation is able to expand its programs, benefiting both students at Colorado Mesa University and the broader community.
To further enhance its impact, the Aspinall Foundation announced on April 3, 2024, its merger with the CMU Foundation, effectively doubling the scholarship endowment dedicated to students in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. This merger ensures that even more students will have access to the financial support and opportunities that reflect the Aspinalls’ commitment to education and public service.
